Industry 4.0: Growing into the Digital Age
Riding the wave and starting to integrate digital aspects into the business without further analysis is one approach. A more successful one has been chosen by the largest high performance materials manufacturing company: they asked themselves how to provide (digital) value-added services to their product-focused portfolio.
To build an internationally focused solution, we conducted interviews worldwide (Japan, China, US, Europe) to gain a deeper understanding of end-customers as well as supply chain intermediates. Needs and challenges centered around the maintenance part of machines and the project team designed several human-centered solutions.
One of them being a mobile video and help application ensuring 24/7 support and reduction of downtime. The go-to market with this product will take place end 2017.
